A steady stream of shoppers helped members of the Windsor Police Service Stuff-a-Cruiser Saturday with donations of food, cash and gift cards. The collection, outside of the Dougall Avenue Real Canadian Superstore, was in support of the Kids First Food Bank.

“We were so fortunate to be recipients of the generosity of the June 27th Miracle,” said executive director Angela Yakonich. “Our goal, in addition to the non-perishables we received, is to always provide fresh foods like produce, milk, eggs and meat. We know that these items contribute to healthy development in children.”

“Donations have been significantly down this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” she said in a news release. “We would be incredibly grateful for Superstore gift cards in any denomination to fill that gap and provide fresh food to our clients.”
